After an initial consult via phone we can determine if we are a good fit for therapy. After the consult I will add you to my EHR system that is HIPAA compliant, where you’ll receive a link for intake documents to be filled out and signed. These forms are added to your chart electronically. A credit card on file is needed prior to scheduling your first session. Once all documents are received a session will be scheduled for the initial intake. In this first session we will explore your expectations and needs for therapy and create a collaborative plan to help you reach your objectives for treatment.
Intake sessions are 60 minutes so that we can obtain all the needed information to collaborate a plan for treatment and may require an additional session. Subsequent appointments will be a clinical hour which is 55 minutes. Typically, sessions are scheduled weekly so that rapport can be built and momentum for treatment can occur. Reduced frequency can be explored as needed. Treatment length can vary and ultimately is up to your commitment to attend. Regular and consistent attendance can yield beneficial growth from 12 to 24 sessions. I have seen clients from 3-6 months and some 6-12 months depending on the issues being addressed.
My individual therapy rates are $135 per session.
24 hours of notice from your scheduled time is needed to avoid any late cancellation fee. The cancellation fee is $60 if notice is less than 24 hours. A no show will incur a fee at the full rate of a session. I provide a grace period of 15 minutes to hold your session time because sometimes things happen, otherwise it will be considered a late cancellation and will need to be rescheduled. Asa reminder, no contact or show results in a fee of the full rate of session.
I currently am able to process insurance in California for Optum: UHC, Oscar Health, Oxford, Cigna, and Aetna at this time by utilizing a billing/admin company (Headway).
I am currently registered with Blue Shield of California as an “Out of Network” provider. Please be sure to check with your insurance plan for out of network benefits.
You may also request a Super Bill (detailed invoice of services that you have self-paid) that you can submit to your insurance plan to request reimbursement. Please note that this is not a guarantee you’ll be reimbursed or for the full rate of out of pocket expense.
Please see the tab at the top of the page “Insurance” for more information.
Telehealth is provided through a HIPAA compliant video. A device with audio and video capabilities will be needed. It will be important to note where you are during your session in the event of an emergency. Telehealth is beneficial in that its convenient and can be provided wherever you are located as long as your are in California. Also, it’s important that your are in a safe and confidential environment, free from distractions, and you are not driving.
I understand that there are times when getting to an office for an appointment may not be in the cards! If you are interested in receiving therapy through Telehealth, please let me know and we can make arrangements even if you typically see me in person!

You may absolutely follow the IG page, though to maintain ethical boundaries with clients/former clients, I will not follow back nor respond to direct messages (DMs). I’ve created the Instagram page for information only and not intended to replace therapy. If you need to contact me for any non-emergent need we can do so directly through HIPAA compliant platforms and for the purposes of your therapeutic journey.
